Two months ago, i.e. in the month of September. A tipster has revealed few Specifications and the model number for the upcoming OnePlus and OPPO smartwatch which is the Oppo / OnePlus Watch 4

In March 2021, OnePlus made its mark in India with the introduction of the original OnePlus Watch and the OnePlus 9 series smartphones. The OnePlus Watch operated on an RTOS-based system and lacked a dedicated app store. Following this, OnePlus also released a budget-friendly smartwatch as part of the OnePlus Nord lineup. As far the Oppo, they have launched its first Smartwatch OPPO Watch Free in February 2022 in India.

In Recent Developments i (techKard) have spotted the Upcoming OnePlus/OPPO Smartwatch on Singapore's Government Agency Website IMDA. The device has listed with the model number OWWE231 under OPPO, which confirmed that it is the OPPO Watch 4.

Appart from the model number the listing didn't reveal anything. But it has confirmed that the Upcoming OPPO smartwatch is in testing stage and we may get more information in near future. And the OnePlus will Also rebrand the same device, According to tipster.

OPPO Watch 4: Everything we know so far.

As per the leak from a coder and tipster known as "realMlgmXyysd," suggests that the upcoming OPPO Watch 4 will be making its debut in selected global markets under the OnePlus Watch 4 moniker.



Model Numbers and Variants

The upcoming smartwatch will come in different variants, each with a unique model number. The Chinese variant of the OPPO Watch 4 will be identified as OWW231, while the global version will bear the model number OWWE231. If you're a fan of OnePlus, you'll be pleased to know that the OnePlus-branded variant will be known as OPWWE231.

Display and Chipset

The Watch 4 is its round display. According to the tipster, this design choice was made due to the challenges posed by Google in manufacturing squared smartwatches compatible with Wear OS. The watch will feature an AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, promising vibrant and sharp visuals.

Under the hood, the Watch 4 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 Wearable Platform SoC. This chipset, built on a cutting-edge 4nm process, will include four Cortex A53 cores, one Cortex M55 efficiency core operating at 2.5GHz, and an A702 GPU running at 1GHz. To handle low-power operations efficiently, the smartwatch will also come equipped with a BES 2700 co-processor.

Color Options and Operating System

OnePlus/OPPO is set to offer users a choice of Black and White color options for the smartwatch. The Chinese variant will run on ColorOS for Watch 6.0 based on Android 11, while the global version will ship with the latest Wear OS out of the box. It's worth noting that the smartwatch features Widevine L3, indicating that it may not provide HD playback.

Design and Functionality.

In terms of design, the tipster has confirmed that the upcoming Watch will feature two functional buttons and a crown, enhancing ease of use. The Chinese variant will have additional features like ColorOS 14 Sound, RTOS WeChat & WeChat Pay, RTOS CJK Fonts, and more.

Both the Chinese and global variants of the smartwatch will support eSIM, barometer, ECG monitoring, colorful Always-On Display (AOD), and Fist Clench Gestures, adding to the overall versatility of the device.

Health enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the Oppo Watch 4 will be equipped to monitor a wide range of health metrics, including blood oxygen levels, stress levels, sleep quality, and various sports and fitness data.
