A major outage has hit OpenAI’s ChatGPT, the AI-powered chatbot that serves 100 million users every week. The outage began at 9AM ET / 6AM PT / 7:30PM IST and has not been fixed yet. Users are still unable to access the chat service.
According to OpenAI, the outage is caused by an issue that is also affecting the company's API services, which are used by over 2 million developers to build applications using OpenAI's cutting-edge AI models. ChatGPT users are seeing a message that says "ChatGPT is at capacity right now" when they try to use the service.
